TGI Fridays Christmas Dinner

I find December the most depressing time of the year. Another year has went by and I've still not found the one. However my friend Stine (thatscottishnorwegiangirl) tagged me in a post on Facebook, that said the name "Danielle" will find the one in 2018. Saying that I get some of those silly online things saying "he's by your side, already".

The one thing I love about December, is Christmas dinners. Everywhere has Christmas inspired meals, this time of year. I headed to TGI Fridays at Fort Kinnaird and had the Christmas dinner.

I went to TGI Fridays last year, for Christmas dinner and they have a similar menu. I loved the Christmas meal last year, so I ended up getting the same.  The three course meal is £21.99, for a starter, main meal and dessert. There's also the option the buy the courses separately. If you buy the starter and main meal, the dessert is kind of free with the three course meal.

Starter
Jack's Christmas dinner sundae
Main meal
Sesame Jack Frost chicken strips with fries
Dessert
Warm apple and blackberry sundae

The drink I got was coke.

The best part my Mum was drinking and she can be so unpredictable, what she says with a drink. I said as a joke to my Mum "ask for the check". Americans will understand, as they call "the bill" a check. I looked down at my phone and next thing my Mum says "can we have the check ?" Haha I said to my Mum we are in the UK, not America.

Wetherspoon Christmas Dinner | Brie & Cranberry Vegetable Burger

It's that time of you, where everywhere you go has Christmas dinner inspired meals. I headed to The White Lady (Wetherspoon) with my Mum for dinner.

I ordered the brie and cranberry vegetable burger, which came with chips, onion rings and a drink. The drink I had was.... an Irn Bru. Everyone who knows me, knows I always go for Irn Bru. Irn Bru should give me a job. I do well, at advertising Irn Bru.

What can I say where else can you get Christmas dinner, with chips ? The vegetable burger is the burger on their main menu, but with breaded brie on top.

Auntie Anne's Pretzels

I feel like Auntie Anne's Pretzels don't get enough credit, here in Scotland. Well who can blame us Scottish people, when there's only 1 store in Scotland and now they have downsized to a stall. Auntie Anne's pretzels, is a lot bigger in America. I pass stores everywhere in New York

Keeping with the American vibe, as I said in my previous post I drive to Whole Foods in Glasgow. I googled Auntie Anne's and found there's one in Silverburn shopping centre, in Glasgow. I always make a stop at Auntie Anne's pretzels, which is on route.

My favourite Pretzel is the vanilla and Nutella.

Beijing Banquet | Edinburgh

I headed along with my parents to try the new Chinese restaurant opened in sighthill Edinburgh, called Beijing Banquet. It's an all you can eat Chinese restaurant, with a mix of European food aswell. I like trying different things, so I end up picking up abit of everything. I was a little excited, when I saw they sell Sunkist juice. I haven't seen Sunkist in the UK and I love drinking it, when I've been to New York.

It costs £9.99 for lunch and £14.99 for dinner. The drinks were £2.80 for the refill.

These are the dishes I went for :

The Huxley | Buffalo Wings

I can't work out if am on a mission to find the best food or smoothie in Edinburgh. I seem to have a love for smoothies right now. I stopped at The Huxley for dinner and after looking through the menu, the 12pm till 5pm menu looked more appealing. Don't you hate when you spot something on the menu, then to realise they only serve it during certain hours. I liked the sound of Philly cheesesteak, but I'll have to try that at a later date.

I opted for the buffalo wings, chips and the berry burst smoothie. I wouldn't go overly mad on the buffalo wings. Am addicted to irn bru, so I struggle to find a drink that doesn't leave you thirsty after. The smoothie was nice and refreshing and different from irn bru.

I think I need to go back and try a breakfast or Philly cheesesteak.
