Review | Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara

I was sent the Max Factor case lash effect mascara on behalf of Beauty at tesco in their partnership with Max Factor for an event they ran. You had to send someone on Twitter a "gift" and I was lucky Ellis from "Ellis Tuesday blog" tweeted it to me.

The design packaging is basic, it actually looks like a mascara my mum would buy. My mum buys mascara's which look plain like this, where as I look for something that stands out, or if there's a hype and hear people talking about how good the mascara is. It's plain black with the writing "false lash effect" and "Max Factor round the top. The brush looks has little tiny separate bristles and the website describes it as "wraps each lash right to the tip to give the false lash effect"

Max Factor False Lash Mascara

I applied two coats and don't think the false lash effect worked for me. It feels like I'm wearing false lashes as my lashes are sticking, but I don't think it looks like false lashes. I think one eye mascara looks better than the other. I tried rubbing my eye to test the smudge. Well I wasn't left with my eye looking black, so it works. I would use this for a long haul flight, as usually after my eyes look horrendous with mascara smudged.

  1. I love this mascara so it's a shame the false lash effect didn't work for you. Did you curl your lashes before?

  2. This is my favourite mascara! It's a pity you don't feel it worked for you!
