Review | Elizabeth and James Nirvana Solid Perfume

I bought both the Elizabeth and James Nirvana perfumes last year, as just by chance I was in the States last January the month the perfume came out. In January this year I went onto the Sephora website and saw there was a solid version of the black and white perfume, but you could only sign up for the email when it would be available to buy. I was so excited thinking finally a Mary-Kate and Ashley perfume we can get sent to the UK, since it's a solid. I knew I was unable to buy liquid perfumes from American website, but because it was a solid I thought I'd be able to order it over to the UK so I signed up to the email. Within a week I woke up to two emails within seconds of each other for both the perfumes, so I quickly went to the Sephora website and added them to the basket. I clicked checkout to pay and comes up "one or more items in the basket is unable to ship to your country. It was a huge disappointment as I had my heart set on buying them thinking I could get them shipped over since it was a solid perfume. I emailed Elizabeth and James asking why we can't get the solid perfume sent to the UK and they replied saying because it has alcohol in it.

Then in March this year my parents said they booked to go to America the end of May, so I said to my parents you buy me both the new Elizabeth and James solid perfumes while over in America. I sent my Dad screenshots of both the black and white solid so he knew what to get. My Dad said they went in the Sephora in Las Vegas and asked for the Elizabeth and James perfumes and the staff member picked up the liquid perfume. Then Dad said he showed the picture and luckily got the right ones, as I have the liquid perfumes already. So if you can't get Elizabeth and James in your country and you know someone going to the United States it's worth sending them a screenshot of the product. One thing I'll never understand is you can't buy perfume online from abroad or post it, yet you can take it in your suitcase.

The photo on the Sephora website makes the solid perfume look huge, so I was abit like oh ok it's tiny when my parents gave me the Sephora bag and looked inside. I didn't mind though, as I love the smell of all the Elizabeth and James beauty products and most solid perfumes are small anyway. It's about the size of an average bar of soap.
I love both the perfumes, but if I had to choose my favourite is the black. It has a more stronger smell. If I can't smell my perfume I have to spray more. The black one stays forever. I've even sprayed it on my clothes and before putting my clothes in the wash I can still smell the perfume. It makes me not want to wash my top or whatever cause it still smells so nice.

The solid perfumes come in the Elizabeth and James black and white designed box. I don't want to bin the box as it has the name on it and looks fancy, even though it's only cardboard. I still have the spray perfume boxes.

Inside is the solid perfume and a wee bag for your solid perfume. I was surprised with the weight of the solid perfume. It's heavier than what I expected for a perfume. They kept the design of the solid perfume the same as the bottle, the fancy black shine and the White bottle with the fancy white shine with gold. The spray bottle and sold tub look to nice to throw away when your finish. I don't what I'll do when I'm finished with them.  I love how they've added the little details with the brand name "Elizabeth and James Nirvana" on bags.
The Sephora website describes it as

I'm the worst for describing smells, but I think the black does have a slight vanilla smell to it to why I love the black more. I do like vanilla smells. I don't know how to describe the white, but it smells more sweet. Gosh I'm the best at describing smells black is strong and white is sweet haha.

The solid perfume is handy to carry in your bag and put perfume on the go. It also opens up with compact mirror. A few people have said to me solid perfume was the thing long ago, so I think Mary-Kate and Ashley have done well created a modern design solid perfume.
