Hair tuck ( Gibson tuck )

The hair tuck (Gibson tuck) in on trend right now. There's a lot of photos I've seen online with the hair tuck, so I've wanted to give this style a shot. I didn't know what it was called, so I typed on google "hair tucked under headband". Some people are calling it "Hair tuck" others are calling it "Gibson tuck".

All you need is a headband, kirby grips (bobby pins if you're American) and some hair spray. Try use a hair band close shade to your hair, as I think it looks nicer . You don't want some bright coloured headband standing out more than your finished hair tucked under. I used a headband from Forever 21, they always have nice colours. It's a navy and white spot headband and only costed £3. It literally took me about 2 mins maximum to put the headband on and lift up sections of my hair and tuck it into the headband.

I love how it turned out. I've had a few people say to me it looks more professionally done, than just tucked into a headband.

I didn't have anyone to take my photo from behind, so I had to revert to using a mirror.

  1. This looks great - my hair is long and thick so it might not work but I am definitely going to give it a try

    1. Your hair doesn't look that thick in the pic. I think you'll be able to do it.
